Overview

This 39-hour course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of makeup applications in a practical, hands-on environment.  Students will acquire the basic knowledge necessary to recognize and use colour and colour combinations to enhance facial features. There is a particular focus on the bridal market and marketing your freelance business in this certificate program. Students will have the opportunity to have a photo shoot session and display their artistry skills and designs.

• Determining characteristics of the face including contours of different face and eye shapes, precision eyebrow shaping, determining a client’s undertone, colour theory, warm vs. cool colours
• Beauty and bridal applications including natural beauty, evening makeup, Smokey eye applications, Bridal Makeup, Glamour and Creative Designs with Step-by-step demonstrations for all applications
• Corrective techniques for photography
• Starting a freelance business with creative photo shoot fundamentals
