This 39-hour course provides students with fundamental knowledge and a thorough understanding of the skin on a cellular, anatomical, and physiological level. Topics covered include skin histology and its related systems, correct skin analysis, product and service recommendations, and practical applications of skin care treatments such as facials and back skin care treatments. Client care and consultation as well as day-to-day operations of a wellness clinic environment will be discussed. Students will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to be successful in the industry.
